Retrofitting made easy: ZENEC’s license plate camera ZE-RVC55LP

The ZE-RVC55LP from ZENEC is an easy to install rear-view camera that is simply mounted on the license plate frame.

ZENEC ZE-RVC55LP: license plate camera

Can it be so easy to retrofit a rear-view camera? With the ZE-RVC55LP the Swiss multimedia specialist ZENEC now has a flexible license plate camera on the market that can be mounted with just a few steps to the existing license plate frame. The high resolution ZE-RVC55LP can therefore be used as a rear-view or as a front camera.
Equipped with a CMOS sensor that is very sensitive to light, the universal ZE-RVC55LP delivers a detailed, high contrast image, even in poor light conditions and during twilight. For the image output you can choose between a normal or a mirror image. The large horizontal 140° angle of view ensures an excellent overview of what is going on behind the vehicle.
High quality materials and a robust construction guarantee high weather resistance, and hence a long life. Thanks to the special camera housing – built to Protection Class IP69K, the highest standard for water and moisture protection – the ZE-RVC55LP is optimally protected against spray and dust. The wide working temperature range from -30° C to +75° C means the view to the rear is clear at all times, even under extreme temperature and weather conditions.
ZENEC’s new rear-view camera is suitable for all current EU and Swiss plastic license plate frames and, due to the compact construction, can be installed quickly and inconspicuously. A 3-piece system cable (2 x 0.7 m plus 1 x 7 m separable lengths) is also part of the kit.
The ZE-RVC55LP can be connected to all 2-DIN A/V devices (multimedia systems, naviceivers, monitors) that have a rear-view camera input.

The brand Zenec stands for pure in-car multimedia. Moniceivers, naviceivers, roof mount and universal monitors sum to a well rounded portfolio of in-car products. Added to that are accessory components like rear view cameras and headphones. All Zenec devices are perfectly compatible with one another.
The Zenec multimedia range is perceived to follow the edge of technology, but also to stand out with an exceptional price/performance value. Yet, quality before quantity is the other important maxim given, Zenec is strictly adhering to.
In 2008, Zenec brought the first E>GO model onto the market, thereby immediately establishing a completely new category of device: the vehicle-specific naviceiver. E>GOs are a perfect fit – visually and technically – in the respective target vehicle, without additional bezels, adapters and hours of installation work. With the new line up 2018 there are E>GOs to fit into over 60 models of vehicle.

ZENEC ZE-RVSC200: Twin Lens Rear-view Camera for Motorhomes

Maneuvering and parking made easy – ZENEC’s new rear-view camera for recreational vehicles is easy to fit and flexible in use.

ZENEC ZE-RVSC200: Twin Lens Rear-view Camera for Motorhomes

ZENEC ZE-RVSC200: rear-view camera for motorhomes

Multimedia specialist ZENEC has added a new rear-view camera to its range of accessories. The ZE-RVSC200 has been specially developed for use in partially and fully integrated motorhomes. The practical features make this a convincing camera unit.
This very compact ZE-RVSC200 is designed as a twin lens model having two camera modules with different angles of view. In the upper part of the camera housing is Cam1 (45° horizontal angle of view), which primarily does the job of an interior rear view mirror. The lower camera lens Cam2 (100° horizontal angle of view is mainly intended for backing up. It records what is to the rear of the motorhome within a range of up to 5 meters, which can be individually set. Cam2 is supported by the built-in microphone and the IR-LED night illumination system.
ZENEC’s rear-view camera is equipped with sensitive CMOS sensors. Impressive for their low noise, they produce very high-contrast images. The high resolution – 680 x 512 pixels – and high light sensitivity of 0.5 lux enable an optimum image to be obtained even in poor light conditions. Cam2 has powerful night vision IR-LEDs with dynamic LDR brightness control. The area to the rear of the motorhome is illuminated well by the LEDs, for excellent visibility of objects in the dark.
Being a plastic injection molding, the housing of the ZE-RVSC200 is corrosion resistant. Together with the clever construction in accordance with protection rating IP69K, the use of high quality materials ensures high resistance to weather and a long service life.
Equipped with a fast-mount click attachment and a 3-part separable system cable with 17-meter main cable length, ZENEC’s rear-view camera offers a very flexible mounting arrangement. The ZE-RVSC200 set also comes with two special adapter cables. Motorhomes with factory routed DOMETIC/WAECO main system cable can be interfaced using the provided adaptors – avoiding the need to lay a new main cable.
The ZE-RVSC200 is compatible with all monitors and 2-DIN moniceivers and naviceivers having two camera inputs (RCA); devices with only one camera input will additionally need an optional camera switch.

APCOA PARKING Deutschland: Wachstumsschub durch Digitalisierung

APCOA PARKING Deutschland: Wachstumsschub durch Digitalisierung

Stuttgart, 6.

APCOA PARKING Mobility Summit

Was bringt die urbane Mobilität der Zukunft?

Stuttgart 4.

Die Veranstaltung findet am 2. Juli 2014 im Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart statt. Mehr Informationen unter www.apcoa.de/mobilitysummit ;

APCOA PARKING Study shows: Women park quicker than men

Youth isn’t the measure for better parking

Stuttgart, 9 April, 2014 – A study conducted by APCOA PARKING, Europe’s leading parking managers, surprisingly concluded that younger drivers are less competent at parking than their elder counterparts.

In Cologne, Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Karlsruhe, students of the Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg (DHBW) at Mannheim, surveyed hundreds of car drivers, took note of the time they required to park, and interviewed them.

In the group comprising drivers 18 to 25 years old, it took drivers on average 22 seconds to park their cars. While drivers in the group of 55 to 65 years on average only required 15 seconds to complete the parking manoeuvre. The study also gauged how many steering movements each group required to complete a movement. It found that those aged between 55 to 65 years old required just 1.6 steering movements to complete a manoeuvre, whereas their younger counterparts averaged 1.8 steering movements.

Women park faster than men
In direct comparison with their male counterparts, women proved to be quicker in parking. In fact, the study found that women required just 17 seconds to park, while men took three seconds longer, although female drivers used slightly more steering movements to park (1.62) in comparison to their male counterparts (1.5). Electronic park distance controls turned out to be real „time gluttons“. On average, drivers using the device required 21 seconds to park, while cars without the device were parked in just 15 seconds. Bildquelle:

European Standard Parking Award for ParkCenter Kö in Düsseldorf

European Standard Parking Award for ParkCenter Kö
The ParkCenter Kö , Stresemannstraße 8,
at the centre of Düsseldorf/Germany, was presented
with the European Standard Parking Award (ESPA) by the European Parking Association
(EPA) in December 2012. The award underlines, in particular, the parking
convenience, the high level security and maximum customer service provided by the
ParkCenter Kö. Along with Hagemann, the owner family,
Managing Director Simon Heyer was highly pleased at receiving this international accolade:
„The prize demonstrates just how worthwhile regular modernisation and improvements
can be even on a multi-storey car park that has existed as a parking garage right at the
centre of Düsseldorf since 1954″. The high number of points awarded against the test criterion,
for example for our 2,5 m wide parking bays, clearly shows that we are able to more
than hold our own when compared with a good many newly built facilities. Investment in
new lighting systems, featuring LED tubes as well as state-of-the-art video monitoring, are
part and parcel of the whole complex. Security at the ParkCenter Kö enjoys top
priority. The test criteria were awarded significantly more points by the EPA than actually
required. Says Managing Director Simon Heyer: „The European Award which
we have received from the EPA shows that a privately operated multi-storey car park
such as the ParkCenter Kö is able to compete with the other big players in the market
at a very high level“.
