EuroMold 2013 has come to a highly successful conclusion – the World Fair for Moldmaking and Tooling, Design and Application Development in the year of its 20th anniversary presented numerous innovations and highlights from 3 to 6 December 2013 at the Messe Frankfurt am Main exhibition centre – extremely positive response from trade experts – number of visitors and exhibitors once again high

Frankfurt//Main, 10 December 2013: The EuroMold World Fair inspired national and international trade experts, interested visitors and exhibitors equally over the past week. At the Frankfurt exhibition centre, a varied selection of exhibits, interesting forums, special exhibitions and conferences drew a positive response. With 58,673 visitors from 83 countries, the number of people visiting the trade fair this year exceeded the already high value of the previous year. The number of exhibitors at 1,056 was also exceeded compared to the previous year.

True to its motto „from design to prototype to series“, the trade fair presented an integrated view of the entire process chain for industrial product development. International and national exhibitors presented the latest technology developments from various branches of industry. The trade fair once again confirmed its position as the leading networking platform for the industry. Numerous promotions and highlights were presented for the visitors. The partner country of Italy for example scored points with its exhibitors as well as culinary specialties. Visitors to the trade fair were also enthusiastic about the e-mobility test course and the joint „DigiFabb“ exhibition stand presenting 3D printing for anyone.

The special topics of lightweight construction, hybrid technology and hydroforming were explored in detail along with the topics of thermoforming and turning and milling technology. Theme parks were presented for the jewellery industry and dental technology as well as development and simulation processes. There were also special exhibitions on rotational moulds as well as VDI/NCG guidelines for evaluating the production quality of machine tools. Hall 11.0 featured numerous exhibitors from the field of additive manufacturing and 3D printing technology. The international Terry Wohlers Conference on the topic of „Business and Investment Opportunities in Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing“ was once again very well attended this year.

The five forums on the topics of design + engineering, partner country Italy, materials, lightweight construction and the future vision of 3D printing gave more than 120 top-class speakers an opportunity for interesting presentations and discussions. A selection of award-winning exhibits from the past 15 years of the EuroMold Award – the Oscar of product development presented for outstanding technical innovation – was on display as well.

Dr.-Ing. Eberhard Döring, Trade Fair Manager for EuroMold, draws a positive conclusion: „EuroMold 2013 definitely rose to the occasion on its 20-year anniversary. The trade fair once again proved this year that the concept – unique the world over – of presenting the entire product development process chain is met with keen interest among numerous industry experts and has become irreplaceable for all segments of industry in this form. We once again succeeded in putting together a varied and highly interesting mix of exhibitors, exhibits, conferences, forums and promotions this year while simultaneously living up to our high quality standards. The immediate positive feedback from long-standing EuroMold patrons as well as „newcomers“ confirms the success of our efforts year after year. It is always enjoyable to prepare for the trade fair and continue developing it further!“
