A significant European milestone for Enercap by Apex Energy and New Loaded Energy, advancing 100 MWh of supercapacitor storage in Germany.
A 100 MWh strategic partnership marks Enercap’s entry into grid-scale energy storage deployment in Germany, backed by UAE-manufactured supercapacitor technology.
On 11 September 2026, Enercap by Apex Energy and New Loaded Energy GmbH (NLE) signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement covering two grid-deployed energy storage projects in Germany with a combined capacity of approximately 100 MWh.
The agreement was signed during the UAE-Germany Business Forum 2026 in Munich and marked an important commercial milestone for the deployment of Enercap’s UAE-manufactured supercapacitor energy storage technology in the German market.
The confirmed order covers two projects of approximately 30 MWh and 70 MWh, with the systems to be manufactured in the UAE and deployed for grid applications in Germany.
The programme carries an investment value of approximately USD 9.5 million in 2026, with more than USD 50 million planned for 2027 as the partnership expands its project pipeline.
For Enercap, the agreement represents a significant step in moving its supercapacitor energy storage technology into large-scale European grid applications.

Germany’s evolving power system requires storage technologies capable of responding rapidly to changes in supply and demand, supporting renewable generation and maintaining performance under frequent cycling. Enercap’s supercapacitor-based systems are designed to provide rapid response, high cycle life and enhanced safety without thermal runaway risk, supporting applications including grid balancing, frequency response and peak shaving.
The partnership also created a framework for continued cooperation in areas including regulatory compliance, grid-code requirements, installation, commissioning, technical support and future project development.
